In a lighthearted announcement, O’Brien said, “America demanded it and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars.” This playful tone reflects his signature comedic style.
O’Brien comes to the Oscars with a wealth of experience, having previously hosted prestigious events like the Emmy Awards in 2002 and 2006, as well as the White House Correspondents’ dinner in 1995 and 2013. His extensive background in comedy sets the stage for an entertaining evening.
The highly anticipated awards ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC on March 2, ensuring fans can tune in to see O’Brien’s comedic flair as he takes the reins.
Known for his late-night hosting prowess on shows such as “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” and “Conan,” O’Brien has been a beloved figure in television for years.
