NEW YORK (AP) — The iconic sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” will return post-election with comedian and actor Bill Burr as the host. He will be joined by the talented musician Mk.gee, who will be making his debut as a musical guest. Additionally, singer-songwriter Charli XCX is set to appear soon as well.
Bill Burr is currently on tour with his stand-up performance titled “Bill Burr Live.” He is also preparing for a Broadway revival of the classic play “Glengarry Glen Ross,” where he will share the stage with Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk this spring. Burr’s second time hosting “SNL” will be on November 9.
Charli XCX, fresh off her successful album “Brat”, will take on dual roles on November 16 as both the host and a musical guest. This will mark her third time performing on “SNL,” showcasing her evolution as an artist with hits from her two recent connected albums.
Meanwhile, Mk.gee will perform on “SNL” for the first time, coinciding with his worldwide tour in support of his debut album, “Two Star & The Dream Police.” Audiences can look forward to his unique sound and stage presence.
The season premiere of “SNL” is scheduled for November 2, featuring comedian John Mulaney as the host and musical guest Chappell Roan. This milestone 50th season has already highlighted notable performances, including Maya Rudolph portraying Kamala Harris, James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump, and Jim Gaffigan as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
